What to Expect
Before Your Treatment
At your complimentary consultation, one of our licensed RN clinicians will assess your skin type, review your medical history, and discuss your goals. You will be asked to arrive with clean skin — no makeup, retinoids, or active exfoliants for 48–72 hours prior. A topical numbing cream is applied 30–45 minutes before your session begins.
During Treatment
The Sublative applicator is passed over the treatment area in a systematic grid pattern. Most patients describe the sensation as a warm, prickling heat — similar to a rubber band snap — that is well-tolerated with topical numbing. A full-face treatment typically takes 20–40 minutes. You will notice immediate redness and mild swelling, which is expected and indicates the treatment is working.
After Treatment
Redness and mild swelling are normal for 24–72 hours. A sandpaper-like texture and pinpoint crusting at the matrix sites typically appears on days 2–4 and resolves by day 5–7. Avoid direct sun exposure, active exfoliants, retinoids, and heat (saunas, hot yoga) for one week. SPF 30+ is mandatory daily.
